Christina Aguilera 'Dirrty' Inspired Make-Up

Dirrty
Do you ever get days where you sit and watch music videos from your childhood? I get that every day. I recently binge-watched some of Christina Aguilera's music videos from her Stripped album days. I always preferred her make-up and style over Britney's and I remember thinking, "I want to look like that' when I first saw the videos for 'Dirrty' and 'Can't Hold Us Down.' I even remember where I was the first time I saw each video. I was 15 and I had just come home from school. I must have forgotten my key because I ended up going to my Gran's house and Xtina just exploded onto the television screen. I was like, 'whoaaa.' Teenage mind blown with new Xtina's make-up and style. It was a far cry the innocence she portrayed in 'Genie In A Bottle.' I text my friend Louise who was as equally obsessed with Xtina as I was and saying 'MTV, right now.' For 'Can't Hold Us Down,' I was on  plane heading to Florida for our summer holiday and this video was part of the in-flight music playlist. I wanted those orchid hot pants and so badly! Anyway, after that trip down memory lane, here is a make-up I created inspired by that time in Xtina's career. I have taken elements of both videos but it is mostly based on 'Dirrty.' Hope you enjoy.
