So it has been almost a year since I first reviewed the original line-up from Tanya Burr Lips & Nails. Tanya has now expanded her cosmetics range to eyelashes and is now known as Beauty Tanya Burr on social media outlets.
I personally loved the nail polishes and lipglosses and although I have not purchased anymore of the nail products since last year, I have slowly collected all of the lip product since they were first released in January 2014. The shades are Smile, Dream, Sparkle, Champagne Toast, First Date, Just Peachy, Afternoon Tea, Chic, Picnic In The Park, Aurora, Exotic Island, Let's Travel The World, Heart Skipped A Beat and Vampire Kiss.

In November that year, Tanya released 8 more lipglosses as part the core collection. As with the original line-up, the latest editions reflect Tanya's favorite things. The shades are Enchanted Forest, Berry Picking, Chocolate Fondue, Lunch Date, Daydream, Sparkling Dewdrops, I Found Nemo and Aphrodite. I did notice that the Eye Candy exclusive collection does not appear on the new lipglosses except for Berry Picking.

A Christmas edition was also released, called Mistletoe Kisses which is subject to limited availability at Cloud 10 Beauty.

Swatches of all colors are below. Note that with most cosmetics, they shades will vary depending on your skin tone.

In general, there are two finishes to these lipglosses - a shimmer finish and a creme finish. The shimmer finishes have fine glitter particles which reflect light, giving the appearcne of fuller lips. The cremem finihes are much more pigmented than the shimmer one, so if you are in need of a more intesnse lipgloss, the creme finihes are perfect for you.

The scent of these lipglosses are softly sweet which remind me of the smell that wraps around your nose when you first open a packet of Straburst sweets. The do not feel sticky on the lips like they wear off really nicely without leaving a collection f worn gloss in the centre like other glosses do.

Enchanted Forest is a deep wine reddish purple. Creme finish.
Enchanted Forest
Chocolate Fondue is a sheer chocolate brown. I really wanted this to be deeper than what it is. Somewhere between a sheer and a creme finish.
Chocolate Fondue
Berry Picking is the color of berry stained or bitten lips, like a 'your lips but better' kind of color. Has fine gold glitter particles shimmering through it. Shimmer finish.
Berry Picking
Champagne Toast is a sheer bronzed tan color. Shimmer finish.
Champagne Toast
Daydream is a pale nude with fine flecks of gold glitter. Shimmer finish.
Daydream
Chic is a nude-ish vintage peachy pink. Creme finish.
Chic
Lunch Date is not too dissimalr from Chic. It is quite hard for me to tell them apart but maybe someone with more of an eye for color would notice. Creme finish.
Lunch Date
Afternoon Tea is a terra cotta pink and one of my all time favorite colors of gloss ever invented! Wore it for my wedding day and you can see a photo of that at the end. I know I am boring and repetitive but I can't help it when it comes to this color. Creme finish.
Afternoon Tea
Just Peachy is a pale babydoll pink with a hint of peach. Looks quite scary on me but would look beautiful layered with another color or teamed with a tan. Creme finish.
Just Peachy
First Date is a cotton candy pink and although beautiful does not entirely suit me. Doesn't stop me from wearing it though! Creme finish.
First Date
Aurora is a mid-tone pink with fine glitter particles. This is another favorite of mine. Creme finish.
Aurora
Smile, Dream, Sparkle is a sheer violet pink with white and fuchsia glitter. Shimmer finish.
Smile, Dream, Sparkle
Picnic In The Park is a pretty brink pink and a personal favorite. Creme finish.
Picnic In The Park
Sparkling Dewdrops is a peachy pink with flecks of glitter. Creme finish, although sheerer than other cremes.
Sparkling Dewdrops
I Found Nemo is a soft coral and perfect for the summer months and an absolute favorite of mine. Creme finish
I Found Nemo
Aphrodite is an intense reddish coral with pink glitter.Creme finish.
Aphrodite
Let's Travel The World is a bright tomato red. Creme finish.
Let's Travel The World
Heart Skipped A Beat is a sheer red with gold and red sparkle. Shimmer finish.
Heart Skipped A Beat
Mistletoe Kisses is a deeper, more pink version of Heart Skipped A Beat. Shimmer finish.
Mistletoe Kisses
Vampire Kiss is a deep, blood red. The reds of this collection are perfect for those who want to try red on their lips but are afraid to commit to fully intense block color of red lipstick. Creme finish.
Vampire Kiss
Exotic Island is a fandango purple, kind of deeper than a hot pink color. Although not one of my favorites, this stands out to me as there is no other color like it in the collection. Creme finish.
Exotic Island
I have also swatched them in a video so you can see the difference between a flash camera and a moving image. The swatches in the video are show the colors as more true to life on the lips than the photos. I have swatched them in color order so that you can see the varying differences and subtleties between each shade.
Overall, I am so impressed with the Tanya Burr collection, They feel like a luxury product for a high street price. There is something for everyone despite personal preference and age. I hope Tanya adds to these lipglosses. I would love to see more purples and oranges.
That's what my mum always says to me and is relevant for my beauty blog neglect. Last time I posted it was November and now Christmas is almost here I feel like I am running out of time to show you some festive products - it may be closer to Christmas Day 2044 before I can share reviews on things I had planned on sharing with you at the beginning of the month but university deadlines are looming so I have put together a quick guide for some recent make-up looks I have posted on to my YouTube channel and Instagram account.
1. Gold Eyes & Red Lips
Products used:
No7 instant radiance foundation - Cool Ivory
Illamasqua sealing gel
Nyx eyebrow cake - Taupe/Ash
Maybelline leather effect color tattoo - Creamy Beige
W7 Lightly Toasted palette - Cracker, Twister, Di Di
I thought I would include looks I have worn in previous years at Christmas time. MAC's Ruby Red pigment is definitely the star of the show (thanks mum and dad). Unfortunately it has no been discontinued but if Plum Dressing and Cranberry had an eyeshadow baby, Ruby Red pigment would be it. Another firm favorite and a prominent feature is an Pizazz - an emerald green glitter liner from the Collection glam crystals line. It was love at first sight when I first saw Lauren Luke create this combo. I was so obsessed with Sharkskin shadestick from MAC after watching this. Mum had also just bought me a MAC holiday gift set which had Mint & Olive soft sparkle eye pencil - still another favorite of mine to this day. All of these combined makes me feel so festive and 22 again. Note - I take ALOT of selfies and I am not ashamed.
2008
A few days leading up to Christmas I wore Pizazz and some greens and golds - probably from a Beauties factory 188 palette.
Boxing day selfie with my mummy. The combo of Ruby Red, Pizazz and Mint & Olive begin.
Boxing night with my friend Jade. Lipstick had worn off since mummy & daughter selfie time.
2009
Christmas Day - a less creative version of the previous year.
All the grandchildren.
2010
Sawdoctors gig - Pizazz and Mint & Olive.
2011
MAC 3D silver on top of Sharkskin. My technique really started to improve.
2012
A selfie before heading out to our local Christmas market. Wearing Cranberry and Club eyeshadows from MAC. Think I wore Liqueur lipstick from Sleek. Really love this look.
Christmas Day and the return of Ruby Red and Pizazz, this time on a deeper, darker note.
Boxing Day - Pizazz as an eyeliner and I think I wore Vintage Gold pigment from MAC as a lid color.
New Year's Eve - my first attempt at halo/spotlight eyes. MAC's Kitschmas pigment is in the centre and Sugrapill's Dollipop and Poison Plum on inner and outer edges. Also used Sugarpill's Buttercupcake on the very inner corners.
2013
Weeks leading up to Christmas and now my go to Autumnal make-up. Used MAC Coppering eyeshadow and a mixture of MAC Reflects Bronze and Pink Bronze pigment.
Kissing selfie before The Darkness gig. Sugarpill's Goldilux with black liner teamed with Sleek's OMG lipstick.
Christmas party. A darker version of my favorite red, green and gold combo. A black base with MAC's Reflect Blackened Red, Goldilux on inner corners and Sumptuous Olive on lower lash line.
Christmas Day and back to my usual Ruby Red. No Pizazz this time, instead I have on Goldilux and Sumptuous Olive.
Christmas day 2013 eye close-up.
Boxing Day and breaking out of my comfort zone - a gold lid and red glitter winged liner.
Close up of Boxing Day eye. Can see green waterline detail. I think this is #85 matte gel liner from Inglot.
New Year's Eve - MAC's Club, Inlgot #85 loose eyeshadow and Lit cosmetics Soul Sister glitter. Vanilla pigment from MAC on inner corners. Teamed with a peach lip.
Close up of NYE 2013 eye.
What are your favorite Christmas make-up looks? Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
